Discover the Most Immersive Home Viewing 8K Experience.
An 8K experience offers more immersion along with super-realism:
8K (sometimes called Ultra HD 8K) is the step forward from 4K. In general, it is more: more pixels, more details which allows both more immersion with bigger images and super-realism. There is a clear trend toward bigger and bigger TVs – a trend that plays well to 8K and its increased immersion. It’s in these larger display sizes where the shortcomings of 4K TVs can become evident. As the screen gets bigger—and you stay sitting in the same place—you need more pixels to enable crisp and sharp images. While 4K is 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, 8K moves up to 7,680 x 4,320. 8K is about the number of pixels (four times as many as 4K), and in UltraHD is paired with High Dynamic Range (HDR).
As picture detail increases, you can sit and marvel in front of a huge image that feels like it’s engulfing you. It’s here that big 8K TVs have a natural advantage because they widen the angles at which light enters your eyes –for a more cinema-like experience. You can enjoy the benefit 8K images even when close up to the screen, for example, when playing video games. You don’t have to move your viewing position back to avoid seeing the individual pixels that make up the image.
